How to use Carrd.co and Components UI as an agency working with clients
If you run a design agency or work with clients on website design, you might have came across Carrd.co as a simple solution. Carrd let's you design, build and host a one-page-website that you can then sell to your clients as a service or end product. This is where Components UI comes in.
Components UI is a collection of pre-built components and templates designed for Carrd.co. It includes components like complex pricing tables, badges, stats sections and more. The components are already built for you so you'll receive the gallery in your Carrd account once you purchase.
If you run an agency or do website design you just have to get your clients’ requirements and use Components UI to build custom websites for their projects with their own brand colors and images.
You can think of it as a master template of components that you can reuse with different clients with different goals and needs.
This is what the process will look like:
- Get your client's requirements
- Duplicate the Components UI gallery on your Carrd account
- Use Components UI to build your clients website / landing page
- Host your client's project on your Carrd account (you can charge them a monthly fee for doing that)
- Or you can export the assets and send the clients the HTML & CSS files (Carrd let's your export all assets from the website project) so they can host it themselves
- Rinse and repeat

Of course you can just use Carrd and start your clients' website from scratch. The beauty of Components UI is that it allows you to save a lot of time — and in turn money — so you can build more in less time. When running an agency you want to have as many clients as you can and deliver their project in as little time as possible. Components UI helps you to do just that.
You can even take it a step forward and build websites for your clients using Components UI and Build UI (another one of the products available for Carrd.co). You can read more about working with both Components UI and Build UI to develop complex website design projects here.
These are just a few examples of what you can build with Carrd + Components UI for your clients:
- Product page for new Ebook
- Consultant website
- Company website
- Memberships for online community
- Personal portafolio
- App landing page
- Software as a Service landing page
- … and much more
Components UI and it's family of products is not to be thought as an expense. It's meant to be an investment. It can help you save time and make money. It can pay for itself many times over when you use it to sell your products or services to clients.
The power of tools
Spending time and money on new tools for your business can be scary specially when there are free tools available. It seems counterintuitive but sometimes "free" doesn't really mean free, it just means you are paying with "life". All these is to say that you are paying with your time instead with your money.
Paying for tools lets you leverage your product. If you run a construction company you'll be able to build more houses if you have the proper equipment (tools, machines, cranes) instead of you working alone with your own hands. That's the power of leverage. That same principle can be applied to digital products. Use the tools that can help you grow your business.
Going Beyond Carrd
If you run an agency you can even go beyond the usual website design services and provide ancillary services to your existing client base. Key lesson: People that already bought your product and are satisfied with it are more incline to buy again from you.
Carrd allows you to integrate services so you can provide a richer product to your clients. One example is to provide website analytics: Once you build your clients website in Carrd with Components UI, you can provide website analytics for your clients as an ancillary services. I recommend using Fathom Analytics since that is the service I use for my own products. You can have multiple sites' analytics on your account and you can choose to share one specific site dashboard to specific people and offer it as a service.
This is just one example of how you can leverage tools and offer ancillary services on top of your offer to provide greater value for your clients and — in turn — charge them more for the work.
